Kalahari

In Ohio the school district gives us 2 days off so the teachers can get report cards together. So our long weekend was back in the middle of October.

Greg not on call +no school 4 girls = recipe for boredom

But not this time. We planned a trip to Kalahari. This is a great big indoor waterpark. They had so much to do it was unreal. We tired them out even stayed at the park til midnight Friday night.
I love this pic of Sydney. She couldn't stop playing with this particular water fountain...at least not until the bully came and pushed her away...Boys suck!

Brooklyn in the giant play area.

Brooklyn racing Greg and London and obviously she won! (Maybe because Greg had to push her down)

Brooklyn sliding down one of her first waterslides. The first one was actually enclosed so it was pitch black and you had to lay on your back-- even I was a little scared. She was a trooper but didn't want to do that again. She definitely preferred the ones where she could sit and see what turns were coming. She also loved the wave pool.

London in the giant play area! This was about the only picture I could get of her because she was all over the place. We couldn't keep up. She wanted to go go go. She had it all planned out. Imagine that! She wouldn't stop talking.
She'd say:
"mom stays with Sydney and Brooklyn in the kiddie area, me and dad go on __________."
"dad stays with Brooklyn and Sydney, me and mom go on ___________."
"I go down ________ with Brooklyn and dad.
Sydney hung out in the swing for a long time. They have an entire area for toddlers. All the slides and equipment are made of this soft foam so when you fall and bump your head it's not so bad.

We got a great deal on a room for the weekend. We got "bumped up" to a suite which was perfect. Greg and I had a king size bed in one room, the girls slept in the living room in a pull out, we had a full kitchen and dining area and a patio. We got breakfast both mornings we were there, dinner the first night, lunch, passes for the waterpark, free mini golf passes, free zoo passes(had a small area with some zebras, an ostrich, a bunch of goats, camels, horses, kangaroos and other weird birds), and an in room movie.

This is where Sydney learned to slide (see video). A safe place and very soft place to have little ones climb and move around.

We had such a great time and hopefully can go back. My pictures don't do it justice. You should go to their website just to look at all the stuff they have to offer.

I want to go with you next time!! That looks like a blast! Way to make me look like a slacker Mom. My kids had a four day weekend and I think they played the Wii the whole time.. Wait no, the game boy and DS too. :)
